Sisters!

Recently Stephanie came down for a visit and it was so fun to hang out. Kristen and I always have so much fun together but it was nice to have the trio of Haws girls complete even if it was just for one day. I have two things to say about this picture: #1 I have the best sisters in the world. #2 Why am I the only one who was born with no pigment in my skin? Sometimes I swear I am an albino.

This is a picture of the three new babies together. Abe and Talan are born less than a day apart and Clark is 4 months after them. I hope these three grow up to be best friends. Since all of my siblings are done having babies this is tha last batch that will have cousins the same age. Aren't they cute!

My girlfriend Brenda got Abe this shirt. I thought it was appropriate!

SUPER BABY

Okay, so one thing I know for sure...A six month old baby has no business walking around. Abe didn't get this memo though because he is obsessed with standing up and walking along the furniture to explore the house. He even climbs the stairs when he gets the chance. Unfortunately he tends to fall alot and I swear he hits his head a hundred times a day. So my girlfriend Britney saw him bonking his head all day long and she lent me her "thudguard". The first time I saw one of these things I thought it was so ridiculous but now that I have a baby who is bound to give himself brain damage, I'm sold. The amazing thing is that he doesn't even try to take it off and he seems to like it. I think the best part is the ears on top. Hopefully he'll get a little more balance soon, but until then he has to wear the helmet around the house. He looks a tiny bit special ed but we love him anyway!

Didi got married!

I just got an email today from our old au pair Monika Krol. She just got married to the guy she met while she was our nanny here in Arizona. She is living in Atlantic City, New Jersey and she says it is her dream to move back to Arizona. Isn't that crazy? The funny thing is that she dated this guy while she lived here but she never seemed that serious about him, obviously that changed! SHe wants us to go to Poland for the big c Catholic hurch wedding in September. Now I just need to scrape up a few thousand dollars.

No one can say we're not good responsible Republicans

SO John and I have set a goal to get more involved in local politics. Especially out here in Queen Creek, everyone loves to conplain about the roads and the taxes and the lack of businesses but no one does much about it. I did some research on the upcoming election for Pinal County Supervisor (the most powerful county position, becasue we aren't in a city) and there is a candidate that we really like named Bryan Martyn. He was an Apache pilot in the airforce and did 4 tours of combat. (Jack thought that was pretty cool) Anyway, I called what I thought was the campaign office to ask for a lawn sign adn it was this guy's cell phone. He got my address to send me a sign and then said that he'd like to bring it over to the house and meet me. so....long story short, we had this dude over for lunch today with Lisa and Kristen and asked him a million questions and talked all about our concerns etc. an it was really fun, plus it makes me feel good to get educated on the issues and the process of government etc. The main thing is that I want to set a good example for my children that it is our responsibility to care what happens in our government. Also, we want to ensure that our kids turn out to be right-wing nut jobs like their mommy and daddy!

Babyham Stands!

This kid amazes me by how motivated he is. It is so fun to see him hit the milestones, but I can already forsee the damage he is going to do the house pretty soon. He crawls all around the house and I even caught him trying to jam a toy into an electrical outlet the other day....and so it begins.
These kids are the sunshine of my life. Abe just lights up when I enter a room and its so flattering to have a little fan in him. Jack was such a laid back baby when it came to crawling and milestones, but this one just seems to be in a hurry to grow up. Sometimes I feel like Abraham is just an old soul. He has a kindof wisdom in his facial expressions and he is so calm and content all of the time. When I get to thinking about how lucky I am to have been given these children by God I am just overwhelmed by emotion. I know every mom thinks her kids are special (I hope) but I'm here to tell you, mine really ARE! (no, I'm not biased) I just love watching them grow and their little personalities blossom. I can't wait to see what they become in life.

John's little clone

I always knew that Jack and John looked alot alike but I also felt like Jack was a little more like me than his daddy...till I took this picture! Check out those eyes, and lips...or should I say lack of lips. I think I have the cutest family in the world!

Jack started swimming lessons!

Today Jack started swimming lessons which are taught by our bishop's wife, Cheryl Reynolds. So far Jack says he hates swimming lessons and doesn't want to learn to swim because he loves floaties. He actually did really good though. We are going to go four days a week for two weeks and by the end of it, we at least want to feel like he won't sink like a rock if he ever falls into a pool. One thing I know for sure...we will not wait four and a half years to try and teach Abe to swim! Isn't parenting such an experience of trial and error, sorry, Jack I guess you have to be our guinea pig!

The best baseball game ever

So this week Christopher invited us to the Diamond Backs Game. John took the day off of work and we brought Jack to his first professional Sporting event ever. First of all Christopher's seats were literally the best seats in the entire stadium. THey were "porch" seats...right on the line in the outfield and you sit in a cordoned off area, so there is no one in front of you or behind you. Also you have an amazing view of the entire game and you have a good chance of catching a home run. Also the tickets included unlimited food and drinks brought to us by a waitress for no money at all. The only thing wrong was that the Dbacks were losing bad. By the bottom of the ninth inning, they were down 0 to 5. With no outs they came back in that one inning and won the game 6-5! It was so exciting. Everyone was on their feet and the energy was amazing. We joke that Jacks first game was so great, that every game he goes to for the rest of his life will suck in comparison.
